Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are safe from avalanches. The few areas where you might be able to trigger a small avalanche are where you find stiff, thin slabs of drifted snow resting on top of weak, cohesionless snow on north-facing slopes. If you encounter this setup, consider avoiding steep slopes above terrain traps, such as a creek or cliff.
Upper elevations will see snow starting Thursday but the danger won't increase until Friday when more than about 6 inches is expected.
