Avalanche Summary

Warm, mild weather is reducing your chances of triggering an avalanche. You might trigger an avalanche if you find wind-drifted snow forming stiff cohesive slabs over a layer of weak snow. The most dangerous slopes face north, northeast, and east, where old weak snow lingers under the drifted snow. Watch out for signs of instability, such as cracking and collapsing, and avoid steep leeward slopes that appear to be deeper and wind-sculpted.

Continued warming throughout the week could result in small loose avalanche activity on steep, rocky slopes in the afternoon.
