Gradual increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the precipitation.

Avalanche Activity

Gradual increase in danger as the precipitation becomes more intense.

Gradual increase in avalanche danger as the precipitation becomes more intense. The fresh snow and the resulting wind slabs will become increasingly prone to triggering. These can be released by small loads and reach medium size.

Snowpack Structure

The new snow and wind slabs are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes. In all altitude zones only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.
