The early season snowpack is mostly stable. Lighter snow lies over denser snow layers. Loose snow sloughs and isolated areas of instability are possible on very steep slopes and in extreme terrain. Normal caution is advised. Be aware of risks associated with a shallow snowpack.

Friday looks to be mostly sunny. Temperatures should rise from the single digits at all elevations in the early morning to the mid twenties in the mountains and the mid thirties in the valleys. West winds are to have ten to fifteen mile per hour averages on peaks and high ridges. The general avalanche will remain Low.
