Avalanche conditions are generally safe. You may see small rollerballs on sun-exposed slopes and shallow drifts of snow above 6,000ft. Expect another day of cool temperatures and light precipitation. 

With generally safe conditions, there's little concern for avalanches. There's some potential for moist snow and warming surfaces on southern aspects, though there's not enough snow for avalanches of consequence. You may be able to find very shallow skiffs of drifted snow at the highest elevations. We also don't anticipate that these are thick enough to present a risk of wind slab avalanches.

On Thursday, temperatures will remain cool with light precipitation and mostly cloudy skies.  The strong April sun will likely sneak through the clouds to warm sun-exposed slopes a bit. On Wednesday, about 2" of snow accumulated following strong winds. Cooling temperatures have helped the upper snowpack begin to freeze.

Wet avalanches due to the sun and warming temperatures occurred on many slopes over the past week. Steep sun-exposed slopes up to mid-elevations have seen water throughout much of the snowpack. While temperatures have dropped, the snowpack may need some time to freeze solidly.
