In sintesi

On Saturday, it will be possible to trigger small avalanches in steep terrain if it rains.

The extent of Wet Loose avalanche activity depends entirely on how much rain we get.  Mixed precipitation is forecast to begin around 1 PM and then transition to all snow by late afternoon.  Today I found that there was weak, dry snow on steep shady slopes.  These slopes will have the greatest potential for instability if rain saturates that old snow.  That being said, Wet Loose avalanches are possible on any aspect, and at any elevation where it rains.

Look for roller balls and small natural avalanches as early signs of instability, and a precursor to Wet Loose avalanches.  If you are seeing these early warning signs, avoid large slopes over 30 degrees where Wet Loose avalanches could entrain more snow (be larger).
