In sintesi

The hazard below an elevation of 10,500 feet will be low during the early morning hours. Warm temperatures and sunshine will increase the wet snow avalanche hazard as the day progresses. At the mid and upper elevations the hazard will increase to moderate after snow surfaces soften. It will increase to considerable at the upper elevations during the warmest portion of the day. Cornices are large and could become unstable. Cornice failures could trigger large wet slab avalanches. Monitor conditions and get off of and out from under steep terrain after significant warming has occurred. This is the last scheduled avalanche hazard bulletin of the 2017/18 season. Thanks to all that have supported the avalanche forecast center by making observations and or donations. The center will continue to operate weather stations, post daily 24 hour summaries of data from those stations, post observations and post weekly snowpack summaries through May.

    As the day warms wet loose slides will become likely on steep terrain features and wet slab avalanches will become possible. These wet slides could release naturally or be triggered by skiers or riders. Wet slab avalanches are most likely to be triggered by the failure of a cornice. Cornice failures could occur naturally or be caused by the weight of a person. Be mindful of both the terrain that you are on and the terrain above you.
