As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation individual small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized gliding avalanches and snow slides are possible.

As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of gliding avalanches and wet snow slides being released will increase in particular on very steep sunny slopes at elevated altitudes.

Snowpack Structure

Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise to rapid and thorough wetting of the snowpack over a wide area. The rain will give rise on Friday to rapid and thorough wetting of the snowpack.
