The backcountry touring conditions in the morning, after a clear night, are favourable. As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of moist small and medium sized avalanches being released will increase gradually in particular on steep sunny slopes at intermediate and high altitudes. Mostly avalanches are shallow. Avalanches can in isolated cases be released in deep layers on very steep slopes. At the base of rock walls a treacherous avalanche situation will be encountered in some localities. Backcountry tours and ascents to alpine cabins should be concluded early. The more recent wind slabs are in some cases thick can be released by large loads in particular.

Over a wide area 40 to 70 cm of snow fell in the last few days above approximately 2400 m. As a consequence of new snow and a strong wind, sometimes deep wind slabs formed in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as at high altitude. The snowpack will be generally moist. It is unfavourably layered. This applies in particular on steep slopes in particular between approximately 2300 and 2700 m in all aspects. Yesterday at intermediate altitudes further small and medium-sized avalanches were reported. At low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.

The danger of moist avalanches will increase during the day.
