Over a wide area up to 10 cm of snow has fallen above approximately 1800 m. On Wednesday the wind was moderate to strong in some localities. Over a wide area new snow and wind slabs are lying on the smooth surface of an old snowpack. The small quantity of fresh snow and isolated small wind slabs can be released in isolated cases in all aspects above approximately 2200 m. In particular, however, there is a danger of moist snow slides during the day. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in isolated cases and mostly by large additional loads, especially on very steep north and east facing slopes in particular between approximately 2400 and 2700 m in little used terrain. The avalanche prone locations are very rare.

Over a wide area 5 to 15 cm of snow has fallen since Friday above approximately 1800 m. The fresh wind slabs are lying on a crust in all aspects above approximately 2200 m. The old snowpack will be well bonded on steep sunny slopes. Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack on north, northeast and northwest facing slopes. Hardly any more avalanches were reported. Less snow than usual is lying. In particular on sunny slopes from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.

The avalanche danger will persist.
