Avalanche Activity

Over a wide area snowfall at low altitude. The new snow and wind slabs represent the main danger.

In places where more snow falls the avalanche danger is greater. The new snow and wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack in some places. Medium-sized and large avalanches are possible. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large loads.

Snowpack Structure

Over a wide area snowfall at low altitude. Fresh wind slabs will form in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls in all aspects. Weak layers exist in the snowpack.

Tendency

The weather will be mostly sunny.
