In sintesi

Today's new snow will be falling upon a snowpack that is settled and has been consolidated by repeated melt-freeze cycles. This snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely. Monitor conditions for areas that may receive locally heavier amounts of new snow.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )It will be dry tonight. On Monday another weak system will bring a few inches of new snow to the higher elevations in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be in the upper teens and 20s in the mountains and in the 20’s to upper 30’s in the valleys where rain showers may mix with snow below an elevation of 6,500 feet. Winds will be from the southwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour. The snowpack is mostly stable. The general avalanche hazard is forecast to be low.
