NC for 12/12:The snowpack will soften on sun exposed slopes and remain well bonded and stable throughout. Cornices unstable. Low Haz

Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to consolidate and stabilise on all aspects and altitudes, where it will remain generally stable throughout. Sun exposed slopes will soften during the day. Any cornices above SE to SW aspects will remain unstable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: High pressure will continue with inversion conditions leading to variable freezing levels. Dry and partially cloudy. Light Southerly winds will increase to moderate during the day and veer to become South-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: A dry sunny day with light North to Easterly winds. Inversion conditions with midday summit temperature around 7 degrees C cooler temperatures at glen levels. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is softening on sun exposed slopes and continues to consolidate and stabilise on all aspects and altitudes. Any remaining cornices above SE to SW aspects remain unstable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
