A predominantly favourable situation.

In Veľká and Mala Fatra and in the eastern part of the Low Tatras there is only a SMALL avalanche danger, 1st degree. Avalanche formation is not expected.

Snowpack Structure

The snow is mostly set and stable after the weekend's period of rain and the subsequent strong cold snap. There is a layer of newer dry snow on the surface, mostly up to 5 cm. The snow cover is only patchy at altitudes up to 1400 m above sea level, but at higher altitudes - especially in troughs and basins - it reaches a maximum of 50 cm,
