At the upper elevations isolated pockets of shallow wind slab up to eight inches in depth and shallow loose snow sloughs could be human triggered or release naturally in very steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. These slides could have consequences in no fall zones. Shallow wet loose slides may occur in steep, sunlit cliff areas during the warmest portion of the day. Watch out for unstable snow in isolated terrain features.

Skies will be mostly clear. Temperatures will drop into the teens overnight and rise into the 30s and 40s during the day. Light northerly winds will back to the southwest later in the day.Clear skies and cold overnight temperatures will allow snow surfaces to harden overnight. Abundant sunshine, warmer temperatures and lighter winds will combine to break down crusts and increase the wet snow avalanche hazard during the day. Areas of wet unconsolidated snow are expected to develop below an elevation of 9,500 feet. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW at all elevations in the morning and increase to MODERATE in steep terrain in the afternoon.
