In sintesi

Hard slabs to 3 feet in depth lurk in wait on a variety of aspects at mid and upper elevations. These slabs lie on slippery faceted snow over old crusts. Backcountry users may trigger such slabs on steeper slopes. Watch for sloughs developing into larger slides on sunlit steep slopes and rocky areas as the day warms.
