You are most likely to trigger an avalanche on easterly-facing slopes where winds drift slabs of stiff snow over buried weak layers. The slopes on which you will most likely trigger an avalanche have rounded pillows of firm snow. The avalanche you trigger in the surface snow could be large enough to bury you and there is the scary potential it could fracture weak layers buried two to three feet deep. Multiple sets of tracks on a slope do not mean it is safe. Shallow terrain with many trigger points are the slopes where you are most likely to trigger a deeper avalanche. You can find safer riding on slopes sheltered from the wind without a slab or on lower-angle slopes.
