In sintesi
The mid and upper elevation snowpack, which is comprised of faceted snow and a variety of crusts in the process of decomposing, is mostly stable. Avalanches are unlikely today. However, caution is advised in cliff areas and in steep couloirs.

Fast moving shortwaves embedded in northwesterly flow will bring mostly cloudy skies and an inch or two of new snow by Saturday evening.
