Avalanche Summary

Avalanche danger will rise as warm temperatures increase the risk of wet snow avalanches. Northeast and east slopes produced the largest avalanches over the weekend and are the most suspect slopes for triggering large wet snow slides.

Loose wet avalanches could gain mass or step down, potentially triggering a larger slide. Track how the snowpack is softening by stepping out of your bindings or off your mode of travel. If you sink into wet snow above your boot top, it's time to head to low-angle slopes or just out of the mountains altogether.

Expect trapdoor conditions on shallow, low-elevation slopes early in the day. Though this setup is not prone to avalanches, it can make travel through snow challenging.
