    The weather has hit in full force, bringing snow and wind to the mountain. This is creating wind slabs on Northerly-facing aspects at low levels. Any travel on the mountain should be limited to low levels or avoided whilst in the middle of this storm. Remembering this is going to create hazards that will impact the upper tracks, and with the weather forecast, it's unlikely to see our concerns lower until towards the end of this week.

Recent Avalanche Activity

No human-triggered or naturally triggered avalanches have been reported or observed over the past 24 hours.

Current Snowpack Conditions

10 to 20 cm of new snow during daylight hours on Sunday the 16th. Winds are out of the South and strong to gale in strength. Wind slab will be forming on leeward aspects, and we are expecting instabilities to develop within it.

Mountain Weather

More snow and strong winds from the South are expected to continue into Monday and Tuesday. Sunday evening its snowing at the park boundary.
