LOWAvalanche Danger exists at all elevations. Remain vigilant for isolated persistent slab concerns on Northerly-Easterly aspects at all elevations in complex, rocky and unsupported terrain particularly in the northern part of the forecast zone.

Avalanche Discussion
With a solid 7 days passing since we have observed any avalanche activity related to our Persistent Slab issues, the forecasters have decided to remove the Persistent Slab problem from the daily forecast for now. The “upside down” structure that we have been describing certainly has not gone away; it remains present and should be kept in mind when travelling in the backcountry. Propagating results in stability tests still show a weak and reactive interface between the robust surface slab from the late January storm and the rotten basal snow. Northerly-easterly terrain at all elevations on steep 35deg slopes, unsupported zones (slopes that terminate above cliffs or convex rolls), and complex, rocky areas all are places that present the greatest potential to trigger an isolated persistent slab.
