At the upper elevations, gusty winds continue to transport snow onto leeward terrain features and form small, pockets of slab avalanches. These slab avalanches could be human triggered on steep, avalanche-prone terrain and will likely have severe consequences in extreme terrain. The daily warming will increase the possibility to trigger these slabs and may cause small, wet loose avalanches on steep sunlit slopes. These hazards could impact skiers and snowboarders who venture onto hanging snowfields or into cliff areas and steep couloirs. At the mid and lower elevations, avalanches are unlikely but monitor the daily warming for changes in conditions.

Skies are expected to be mostly clear with mountain temperatures warming into the 30s and above freezing. In the morning, a slight inversion will keep valley temperatures cold but this inversion should break by noon. Westerly ridgetop winds are expected to be in the teens to 20s. Tomorrow the avalanche hazard is expected to be low in the morning and may increase as the day warms. By the afternoon, it could be possible for humans to trigger small slab avalanches and wet loose avalanches on sunlit slopes. As the snow surfaces become damp, backcountry travelers should seek shaded terrain. In the Greys River and Togwotee Pass forecast areas, there remains a remote chance for a high marking snowmachines to trigger large slab avalanche.
