Forecast Snow Stability: Overnight, the existing patchy snowpack will continue to thaw, remaining consolidated and stable. Through the day, it will refreeze and further consolidate. There will be a dusting of new snow, initially at summit level, lowering to 400 metres in the afternoon. New snow amounts will be small, mostly accumulating in sheltered high East to South aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Patchy overnight rain at all levels will turn to light wintry showers by early morning as the freezing level lowers from above the summits overnight to 400 metres by the end of the period. The strong South-West wind will veer North West overnight, easing to fresh through the day. Observed Weather Influences: Following a bright start, cloud bases lowered and patchy light rain arrived by early afternoon. A strong South-West wind persisted through the day. It was a mild day as the freezing level remained above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The slowly thawing patchy and depleted snowpack remains generally well consolidated and stable throughout. Most snow exists along coire rims, in gullies, runnels and crag aprons, on North to East aspects. Little snow remains below 600 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
