Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be generally well bonded. In steep rocky terrain and on very steep slopes loose snow slides are possible as a consequence of the new snow.

Avalanches can be released in the old snowpack, in particular by large additional loads. On very steep northeast, north and northwest facing slopes and in steep rocky terrain loose snow slides are possible as a consequence of the new snow.

Snowpack Structure

Weak layers exist in the snowpack especially on steep shady slopes. Over a wide area light snowfall to above 1400 m.

Tendency

Gradual increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the snowfall.
