The fresh wind slabs remain in some cases prone to triggering at high altitude. Avalanches can be released in near-surface layers, even by a single winter sport participant, in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. In the early morning as well, wet avalanches are possible, after an overcast night in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. The danger of moist and wet avalanches will decrease during the day.

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be severely restricted in some places. In some localities 10 cm of snow will fall on Thursday above approximately 2200 m. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. The soft wind slabs of the last two days are covered with new snow in some cases and therefore difficult to recognise. In some cases the various wind slabs have bonded still only poorly with the old snowpack, in particular at high altitude. Sunshine and high temperatures gave rise to gradual moistening of the snowpack below approximately 2800 m. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack in shady places that are protected from the wind, especially above approximately 2400 m.

In the neighbouring regions and at intermediate and high altitudes the danger of dry avalanches will increase a little. The avalanche danger will increase but remain within the current danger level.
