The weather will be very mild. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good. The surface of the snowpack will already soften in the late morning. With the freezing level at 3000 metres, combined with solar radiation, some wet and moist avalanches are still possible at medium mountain altitudes on slopes that have not yet been completely cleared in recent days. Backcountry tours should be concluded early. In addition the no longer entirely fresh wind slabs must be taken into account. They are in some cases prone to triggering. This applies in particular on shady slopes. Single winter sport participants can release avalanches in some places, caution is to be exercised in particular on very steep slopes at intermediate and high altitudes in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Weak layers in the old snowpack necessitate caution. The avalanches can be triggered in the old snow and reach quite a large size.
The spring-like weather conditions from the late morning will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack in particular on steep sunny slopes below approximately 3000 m. The weather conditions fostered a settling of the near-surface layers. These conditions fostered a stabilisation of the snow drift accumulations in particular on sunny slopes. In its middle, the snowpack is unfavourably layered. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Numerous small to medium-sized moist and wet avalanches have been released in the last few days.
The weather will be warm. The danger of moist and wet avalanches will not decrease for the time being.
