Avalanche Activity

Wet snow represents the main danger. Wind slabs require caution.

In some localities up to 5 cm of snow will fall on Saturday above approximately 2200 m. Medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large natural avalanches are further possible.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack is moist. Over a wide area various wind slab layers are lying on old snow containing large grains. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded poorly with the old snowpack.
