In sintesi

Air temperatures are generally in the mid to upper 30s early this morning and are about seven degrees warmer than yesterday morning. At the mid and upper elevations the hazard is LOW in the early morning hours but will rapidly increase to MODERATE after snow surfaces soften. Due to the threat of wet slides steep avalanche slopes and extreme terrain should be avoided after significant softening of the snowpack has occurred. Very little snow remains at the lower elevations. This will be our last avalanche advisory of the 2011/12 season. We intend to continue to post avalanche observations, field observations, weekly snowpack summaries and continue to operate our remote weather stations and post daily 24 hour data summary sheets into May. Thank you for your observations and support.
