Avalanche Summary

You can trigger a large and potentially deadly avalanche on most slopes facing west through north to southeast. If you see cracking or feel a significant collapse in the snowpack as you travel through untouched snow, you are heading into dangerous waters. You can find safer travel options on south- and southwest-facing slopes and avoid travel on or under slopes steeper than about 30 degrees on aspects of concern.
