In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is LOW. Isolated pockets of soft surface slab up to 18 inches in depth formed by west and northeast winds exist along the leeward aspects of the highest ridge lines. These slabs could be triggered by humans who venture into very steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )On Saturday skies will be mostly cloudy with periods of light snow in the mountains. Accumulations of an inch are expected. Mountain temperatures will be in the teens in the early morning hours and rise to near 30 degrees in the afternoon. Winds will be westerly at 15 to 20 miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE above an elevation of 8,500 feet in the Teton and Southwest Trails/Greys River areas. Dense surface slabs up to three feet in depth lie upon hard old snow surfaces and could be triggered by humans who venture into steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. The general avalanche hazard in these areas below an elevation of 8,500 feet and in the Togwotee Pass/Continental Divide area is expected to be LOW. In these areas mostly stable snow exists, however isolated pockets of surface slab up to 18 inches in depth could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas.
