Above 7,500 feet, skiers and riders might be able to trigger isolated pockets of surface slab with depths to of six to twelve inches in steep, avalanche-prone terrain. The snowpack is mostly stable below 7,500 feet and avalanches are unlikely.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Cloud cover will increase overnight, and light scattered snow showers will develop as a cold front drops through the area from the north. Most of the moisture and energy with the associated weather system will be east of the continental divide, but light accumulations should continue through the day on Wednesday.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW on Wednesday. Above 7,500 feet in cliff areas and very steep, wind loaded terrain, backcountry travelers might be able to trigger an isolated pocket of shallow surface slab or loose snow sluff. The snowpack is mostly stable below 7,500 feet and avalanches are unlikely.
