In sintesi

Warming temperatures will increase the hazard as the day progresses. The hazard will be LOW in the early morning hours and increase to MODERATE as temperatures increase. Pockets of surface slab could human triggered at the upper elevations. Wet slides will be a potential hazard on steep slopes after snow surfaces soften. Areas that experience glide cracks and glide avalanches could become active today and should be avoided. Some potential may exist for larger avalanches to occur in extreme terrain, especially for larger triggers such as high marking snow machines. Monitor conditions and avoid steep terrain during the warmest portion of the day.

    At the upper elevations pockets of surface slabs up to 18 in depth could be human triggered in steep, avalanche starting zones. Warming temperatures will increase the potential for skiers and riders to trigger these slabs.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Skies will be mostly clear. Temperatures will be inverted in the morning and will start out near 20 at the higher elevations and near 10 in the coldest valley locations. Daytime highs are forecast to rise into the mid-30s at the upper elevations and into 40s in the valleys. Light to moderate northwest winds will back towards the southwest and decrease during the day.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW in the morning and rise to MODERATE during the day. Some potential will develop for wet slides to occur in very steep terrain after significant warming occurs. In addition, pockets of shallow surface slab and, in isolated areas, the remote chance of triggering a deeper hard slab avalanche are potential hazards at the upper elevations.
