The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New snow, strong winds, and increasing temperatures have deposited soft slabs to two feet in depth in avalanche terrain. Backcountry users could trigger these slabs today on steep avalanche paths, particularly those that have been loaded by the strong winds.
