Forecast Snow Stability: During the day, development of isolated pockets of unstable windslab is possible, affecting steep terrain, mainly South to South-West aspects above 750 metres. Northerly aspects may also be affected particularly on inland mountains. Locations most affected will be gully tops, coire rims and below ridge crests. Otherwise, accumulations of new snow will generally be small. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Summit rain, sleet and snow overnight and early morning, followed by drier, colder conditions. However, any fresh snow will thaw as the freezing level rises well above the summits overnight. A dusting of snow is possible during the afternoon as the freezing level lowers to around 600 metres. Westerly gales will ease to light North overnight, before Southerly gales early morning, becoming moderate North daytime. Observed Weather Influences: A mild, wet and windy day. Rain at all levels, freezing level above the summits and severe West-South-Westerly gales. ObservedSnowStability: Very limited snow cover. Lingering patches and slivers of old snow are well consolidated and continue to thaw. The avalanche hazard is Low.
