Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to consolidate and stability will be generally good. Fresh snow amounts are not expected to be significant. Isolated wet snow instabilities will develop during the day in deeper accumulations of recent snow. Cornices will be prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Light, variable winds overnight become moderate Southerlies during the day. Isolated showers, falling as snow above 900 metres, in the evening then dry. The freezing level will be around 1000 metres overnight, rising above the summits during the day. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with light South-Westerly winds. The freezing level was around 1000 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Snowpack is consolidating and stability is generally good. Isolated instabilities persist in deeper accumulations of recent snow mainly on West through North to North-East aspects above 900 metres. Cornices are prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard is Low.
