In sintesi

The snowpack is mostly stable. Avalanches are unlikely. At the highest elevations isolated pockets of wind slab less than a foot in depth may be present. These small, shallow slabs could pose a danger to humans who venture into cliff areas, steep couloirs and other extreme terrain features. If the skies clear, monitor conditions for wet snow avalanche hazards on steep sunlit slopes during the warmest portion of the day.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Conditions will remain cool with diminishing chances of snow shower activity as the low slowly moves east towards the Great Plains. A clearing trend is on tap on Friday. Temperatures will be in the 20’s and 30’s in the mountains. Northeast winds will be light to moderate. Several inches of additional snowfall are possible in the Greys River area. The general avalanche hazard will be low. The snowpack is mostly stable, and avalanches are unlikely. Watch out for unstable snow on isolated terrain features.
