In very isolated cases dry avalanches can be released in the old snowpack. This applies on northwest, north and northeast facing slopes in the vicinity of peaks. The avalanche prone locations are very rare. As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of moist and wet avalanches being released will increase a little in particular on west and east facing slopes. These can be released by people, but they will be small in most cases.

Distinct weak layers exist in the old snowpack in particular on northeast, north and northwest facing slopes. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced. The weather conditions will give rise to increasing and thorough wetting of the snowpack especially on sunny slopes.
