The danger of moist and wet avalanches will already exist in the early morning.

In the event of an overcast night this applies especially in all aspects. Additionally in some places moist and wet avalanches can penetrate near-ground layers of the snowpack reach large size in isolated cases in particular on very steep shady slopes. In particular areas where the snow cover is rather shallow below approximately 3000 m: Wet avalanches can be released in the weakly bonded old snow by a single winter sport participant. As a consequence of new snow and wind mostly small dry avalanches are possible above approximately 3000 m. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.

The rain will give rise on Sunday to rapid moistening of the snowpack over a wide area below approximately 3000 m. The surface of the snowpack will cool hardly at all during the overcast night and will already be soft in the early morning. Above approximately 3000 m snow will fall on Sunday. Especially at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions a lot of snow is lying. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack in shady places that are protected from the wind, especially above approximately 2400 m.

The avalanche danger will persist.
