Forecast Snow Stability: The limited patchy snow cover will continue to thaw and diminish, stability will be good in all locations. Largest areas of snow will linger on North to East aspects above 850 metres, predominately on more inland mountains. There will be many bare slopes, ridges and summits throughout the forecast area. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: A warm, wet and windy morning, followed by drier but still very windy conditions in the afternoon. Winds will be storm force South-Westerly. The freezing level will be well above the summits for most of the day falling to around 1000 metres by the end of the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A dry, sunny day with light and variable winds. The freezing level remained above the summits all day. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining patchy snow cover continues to thaw and diminish. Stability is good in all locations. Largest areas of snow lingers on North to East aspects above 850 metres, mostly around coire tops and in gullies and predominately on the more inland mountains. There are many bare slopes ridges and summits throughout the forecast area. The avalanche hazard is Low.
