In sintesi

At the mid and upper elevations two feet of new snow with 2.5 inches of water equivalent have fallen since Tuesday afternoon. Strong southwest and then northwest winds have formed hard and soft slabs up to four feet in depth. These DANGEROUS slabs lie upon slick crust and will be easily triggered or release naturally today as winds continue to load starting zones. WYDOT was able to trigger Twin Slides and Glory Bowl slide paths last night. Yesterday a skier triggered a large slab on an easterly aspect between Little Tuckermans and Unskiabowl. Similar but larger events are likely today. At the lower elevations isolated pockets of slab up to one foot in depth could be triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones.
