In sintesi
At the mid and upper elevations approximately 10 inches of snow with about one inch of moisture has fallen in the past 48 hours. Strong southwest winds have formed new soft surface slabs one to two feet in depth. These slabs have formed on well developed surface hoar and slick old snow surfaces and will be easily triggered today on steep wind loaded aspects. Once triggered they could pull out dangerous older deep slabs in areas that have not had recent avalanche activity. At the lower elevations warm temperatures and rain have destabilized a weak shallow snowpack. The potential for wet loose and wet slab avalanches to occur on weak faceted snow at the ground surface exists.
