In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE this morning and will increase during the day as sunshine and warm temperatures heat the upper portion of the snowpack. Areas of deep slab instability persist in steep, avalanche-prone terrain. These dangerous hard slabs, up to five feet in depth, could be crossed multiple times by skiers or riders before a weak zone is encountered, causing failure of the slope. Skiers and high marking snowmobilers venturing into steep bowls, cirques, couloirs and cliff areas are at greatest risk. Clear skies and good visibility generally encourage backcountry users to take greater chances. Conservative decision making, good travel habits, and the ability to resist peer pressure are all important for safe travel in avalanche terrain today.
