Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe, but that does not mean there are zero chances of avalanches. If you find clean, fresh-looking snow on steep slopes, be suspicious. This could be an old small wind drift or snow waiting to shed on sunny or low elevation slopes as the day warms up. Even a small avalanche in serious terrain can be dangerous, so think about what lurks below you before committing to steep, extreme lines.
