Avalanche Summary

You could trigger an avalanche that breaks near the ground on north through east to southeast-facing slopes above and near treeline. The most dangerous slopes are where you find wind-drifted snow that feels drum-like. Additionally, for Thursday, warming temperatures will create moist snow surfaces if you start to see pinwheels or fan-like point releases of snow around darker objects on steep slopes. When you see these, it is time to seek colder snow or call it a day.
