The general avalanche hazard is Low. Low hazard does not mean no hazard exists. Recent snow that fell over the weekend lies upon a stable snowpack. Yesterday this recent snow settled and gained significant strength however in some areas at the high elevations, this surface snow could still be triggered in the form of loose slides or as isolated pockets of soft slabs with depths of four to twelve inches in steep wind loaded terrain. Avalanches below 9000 feet are not expected today.
