In sintesi
At the mid and upper elevations pockets of surface slab up to 18 inches in depth exist in steep wind loaded starting zones and cliff areas. These slabs could be human triggered and could step down to old January layers of buried faceted snow. Yesterday a skier triggered a three to four foot deep slab in a cliffy area in the Green River drainage. This event occured on a steep northerly aspect at an elevation of about 9,000 feet and likely stepped down to the January surface. The uninjured skier was swept over cliffs. Wet slides are possible on steep sunlit aspects at all elevations in the afternoon.
