In sintesi

At the upper elevations areas of unstable snow exist. On northerly aspects dense slabs up to 30 inches deep lie upon weak old snow layers. New soft surface slabs up to one foot deep have also been formed by southwest winds. These dense deeper slabs and softer surface slabs could be triggered by humans in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones. At the mid elevations a mostly stable snow pack exists and avalanches are unlikely except in isolated pockets. Due to lack of snow avalanches are not possible at the lower elevations.

Avalanche Discussion

Mostly cloudy skies, along with windy and unseasonably warm weather are forecasted for Western Wyoming on Monday. Mountain temperatures are expected to remain near freezing as the valley rises into the upper 40s. Southwesterly ridgetop winds should range from 20 to 30 mph.In the Teton area, the General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE at the upper elevations where pockets of both shallow surface slabs and deeper hard slabs could be triggered by backcountry users. The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW in the shallower snowpacks of the Greys River and Togwotee Pass regions.
