In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today above 7,500 feet. Under clear skies yesterday backcountry enthusiasts hit nearly every aspect and slope angle south and north of the Jackson Hole Resort with only some larger sloughs started. Travelers should remain wary of the possibility of lurking areas of slabs and new slabs from overnight winds and use their best evaluation skills before skiing in avalanche terrain. There have been no reports of larger, hard slabs running on buried weak layers for some time. Such slides would likely require a large trigger. Always travel one at a time in areas where avalanches are possible, regardless of the hazard rating.
