Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected to snowpack stability, new snow amounts will be insignificant and the old snowpack will continue to consolidate and refreeze. Greatest accumulations will remain on mostly North to Easterly aspects above 900 metres, in gullies, coire rims and back walls. Large cornices still overhang North to East aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be light to moderate strength North-East to Northerly. Dry overnight with light snow showers expected in the morning and later in the afternoon lying to glen levels by the afternoon as the freezing level drops. Observed Weather Influences: A cooler day with the freezing level around 800 metres. Winds were light East-North-Easterly with occasional very light precipitation falling as snow above 600 metres or so. ObservedSnowStability: There is a light dusting of cosmetic snow an all aspects above 800 metres. The old soft snowpack which lies mostly above 900 metres on Northerly to Easterly aspects is becoming firmer with a developing surface crust and remains stable. Greatest accumulations are around coire rims in gullies and coire back walls in the highest locations and plateau areas. The avalanche hazard is Low.
