On extremely steep slopes individual mostly small moist snow slides and avalanches are possible,, in isolated cases also on shady slopes, in particular at the base of rock walls. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in very isolated cases. As a consequence of mild temperatures and solar radiation the snowpack consolidated. Field observations show good snowpack stability. Less snow than usual is lying. On sunny slopes below approximately 2300 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. The conditions below approximately 3000 m are spring-like, in particular on very steep sunny slopes. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust. Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack on north, northeast and northwest facing slopes. In the last few days hardly any more avalanches occurred naturally.

Over a wide area 10 to 15 cm of snow will fall on Wednesday above approximately 1500 m. The avalanche danger will increase during the day.
